Commercial Offset Printing

Our printing service compliments our digital services by offering more economical long runs, excellent color accuracy and a wider range of paper stocks and sizes.

Why press print?

Economy — Press printing can offer increased savings compared to digital printing if the run quantity is large and the number of originals are small.

Excellent color accuracy — The Pantone Matching System (PMS) offers exceptional color accuracy. Pantone colors are mixed to precise, pre-set specifications, which are printed each year in their color matching guides. You can consult these books to see exactly what the final color will look like in advance. Utilizing the PMS book is a lot like going to the paint store and specifying colors on the paint chips — you know what you’ll get. So, if exact color accuracy is important to you, then press printing may be the best choice.

Brighter colors are available — Pantone colors are mixed using inks making the colors much brighter and more intense. If lively colors are important to your brand image, then press printing may be the way to go.

Types of paper — We can print on a wide range of thicknesses and textures, including specialty papers, such as vellum and metallic. If you are considering using nontraditional paper for your printed piece, press printing may be a better fit.

Wide range of finishing techniques — All finishing options are possible with press printing. Metallic inks can be run through the press as easily as a nonmetallic ink. Embossing, die cutting, and foil stamping can be done to your job. You can create materials that really stand out using these techniques. In addition, print jobs can be run back through laser printers for personalization by the customer.

Innovative formats, shapes, and sizes are possible — Traditional press printing can accommodate a wide range of paper sizes, including various types of envelopes, and can result in innovative and creative finished projects.

Whatever the project, Copy King can help you pick the right solution.'

Why Choose Commercial Offset Printing?Commercial Offset Printing

Commercial Offset Printing is the right choice for the following:

  • High volume print jobs that have fewer images
  • Jobs that require black ink or on or two ink colors and have a higher quality.
  • Jobs that might be run back through a laser printer such as letterhead. The toner from a digital press may smear once re-heated.
  • If color accuracy is important to you, then press printing may be the best choice. Pantone colors are mixed to precise, pre-set specifications, which are printed each year in their color matching guides. You can consult these books to see exactly what the final color(s) will look like in advance.
  • If you have a job that needs much brighter, more intense color. Pantone colors can be mixed using inks.
  • In addition, metallic inks are available in Commercial Offset printing.
  • If you need more options in paper textures, including specialty or non-traditional stocks such as vellum and metallic papers then offset printing is your best choice. Because digital printing is toner-based, it can only accomodate a limited paper texture without flaking off.
  • If you have a job that needs fine line screens then offset printing is for you. Even under close inspection, the color will look smooth and seamless. It will also appear brighter and more intense.
  • If a printed piece needs to be run on a very thick stock or a stock that is smaller than 8.5 x 11, then offset is your choice. Digital printing can only accomodate limited paper thickness and fewer sizes.
